Joshua Lang, M.D.

Venture Fellow

Dr. Lang is a Venture Fellow at CHV and a cardiologist and instructor in medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lang has a close working relationship with CHV and uses his clinical expertise to actively participate in screening and diligence for new investments, and management of the existing portfolio.

He has worked as a consultant for several digital and medtech healthcare companies and is the Founding Medical Director and Vice President at Roon, a Sequoia-backed digital healthcare company. His past academic research focused on inflammatory biomarkers in kidney disease and cardiovascular disease. Prior to his clinical training he was a long-form essayist for the New York Times, Atlantic, and New Yorker, where he wrote about the intersection of science, healthcare, and philosophy.

Dr. Lang obtained his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, and completed his training in internal medicine and cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he received multiple awards for his leadership and teaching.
