Dr. Segar is a Venture Fellow at CHV and an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Segar works closely with CHV to diligence new investments and manage the existing portfolio.
He runs a research lab focused on the synchronization of brain signal with sensor-based markers of real-world behavior. He has authored several patents, is the cofounder of Clee Medical, and advises several medical device, digital health, and neurotechnology companies. He has served as a visiting scientist in the MIT Media Lab and the Wyss Center for Neurotechnology.
Dr. Segar obtained his medical degree at Brown, completed neurosurgical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and completed subspecialty fellowship training in functional and epilepsy neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
